Kristi Bartholomew is an aspiring author and illustrator in south Florida. She received a B.F.A in figurative drawing and painting, and a B.A. in Spanish from Alma College in Michigan. Kristi lived in both Spain and Honduras to obtain fluency in Spanish. After graduation, she moved to New York to pursue fashion, earning a design degree from F.I.T. Her career in fashion has spanned 15 years, designing dresses for well-known brands.
As an illustrator, Kristi loves creating nuanced characters whose expressions, body language, and clothing add depth to their identities. She relies on her background in figurative art and fashion illustration to achieve this goal. Design has also provided her with an intuitive sense of color and a love of pattern.
Kristi loves skateboarding, salsa dancing, and cooking- themes that have inspired works in progress! She grew up on a farm, raising rabbits, chickens, sheep, goats, pigs, and horses and welcomes projects with animals.
